A Sydney restaurant with heavy volume and a modern à la carte menu is after a motivated, reliable and experienced Sous Chef to sit within its kitchen leadership team and work closely with the Head Chef. This is a hands-on job for someone who likes a busy service and values teamwork, consistency, cleanliness and organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Be the Head Chef's right hand in running the kitchen day to day
- Guide and supervise the brigade through busy services
- Work sections where needed, mostly grill and pasta
- Contribute to new dishes and seasonal menus and refine current recipes
- Mentor, train and support junior chefs
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety
- Oversee prep, stock rotation, ordering and waste management, with every section organised and stocked ahead of service
Requirements & Eligibility
- 1 year minimum working as a Sous Chef in a busy à la carte restaurant
- A strong background in high-volume kitchens
- Excellent cooking, especially on grill and pasta
- Strong skills in leadership and communication
- A history of training and supervising kitchen staff
- Close attention to detail
- Commitment to cleanliness
