Several vacant Barista positions at a Far North Queensland specialty coffee roaster are being filled with energetic, highly motivated coffee professionals. The role runs the coffee program, keeps preparation quality and efficiency high, coaches the baristas and helps push product innovation along. It is a full-time job, 5am to 2pm Monday to Friday, with weekend availability needed.
Employee sponsorship under the Far North Queensland Designated Area Migration Agreement (FNQ DAMA) is open to these positions.
Coffee people should make their specialty experience obvious: cupping, competition, training or roasting. Craft a barista CV with the help of Build AI CV and let the passion come through.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, upskill and manage a team of baristas
- Serve every customer a genuine, efficient, top-tier coffee
- Lead QC cupping and collaborate with roasters
- Help choose green beans to buy, and roast for production when asked
- Hold WH&S standards across the space
Requirements & Eligibility
- In-depth knowledge and experience of specialty coffee; Q-grader, cupping, barista competition, barista training and/or roasting experience is highly advantageous
- Leadership and team-building skills, proven
- A love of people and customer service
- Strong time management skills
- Strong organisational skills
- A growth mindset
- Willing to start at 5am
