Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 November 2026
JobsAbroad New Zealand (jobsabroad.co.nz) is run by Red Migration FZC, a company in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This page sets out, in plain terms, what we learn about you when you visit or get in touch, why we need it, who else sees it and the choices you have along the way.
A New Zealand name and domain does not mean every part of the service happens in New Zealand: our team, our servers and the employers we deal with sit in several countries. Which privacy laws apply depends on the activity involved and the circumstances.
1. The short version
- No account is needed to read jobs, guides or articles.
- Nothing reaches us unless you choose to send it, whether by email, WhatsApp, phone or post.
- Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity if we switch it on, stay off until you press Accept all.
- Saying no to analytics leaves every public page working.
- Because applicants from any country can apply, your details may be handled in the UAE, in New Zealand or Australia (where most employers are) and by our providers elsewhere.
- You can ask to see, fix or remove what we hold about you, within the limits the law sets.
2. Who looks after your information
Red Migration FZC runs this site and decides how personal information connected with it is used, for the purposes on this page.
- Email: jobs@jobsabroad.co.nz
- Phone (24/7 hotline for calls and WhatsApp calls): +61 2 7247 4855
- WhatsApp chat (messages only): +971 50 283 2394
- Post: 108, 6th Street, Al Hamriya, Bur Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Privacy questions can go to any of these, or through the contact page. We have no office in New Zealand and have not appointed a representative there; these are the operator’s own details in Dubai.
4. Records made while you browse
Each page request is logged by Google Cloud with details such as the IP address, browser and device type, the page asked for and the time. Those logs are deleted after 30 days. Our server also keeps brief counts of requests in memory so that bots or floods of traffic cannot knock the site over.
We rely on these records to keep things running, track down faults and protect the site. Searching or filtering the job list does not create an applicant record or put a CV into the site’s content database.
5. Analytics, only if you say yes
Google Analytics 4, and Microsoft Clarity where it is enabled, show us which pages are useful and where people get stuck. Neither loads until you choose Accept all in the cookie banner. Pick Reject all and the jobs and guides keep working as normal; you can change your mind whenever you like through Cookie settings at the foot of each page.
Once you accept, the tools may note the pages you open, your clicks and scrolling, your browser and device, and the country you are visiting from. Clarity can build heatmaps and session recordings, with anything typed into fields masked. Microsoft may also use the data for advertising, as its own privacy statement describes.
Your CV, your messages to us, your name and your email address are never handed to these tools. Words typed into the site’s search box may reach Google Analytics, so please leave personal details out of searches. We have switched off the advertising features of Google Analytics, and no analytics run on the staff administration pages.
For more detail, see the Google Privacy Policy, the Microsoft Privacy Statement and our Cookie Policy. Saying yes to analytics is not agreement to marketing, nor to your CV going to extra employers.
6. Services that help the pages work
Your browser keeps a note of your analytics decision, and a small technical value lets a page reload cleanly after we release an update. Typefaces come from Google Fonts. Where a page has videos, YouTube thumbnails may load, but the youtube-nocookie.com player only starts when you press play.
Staff who publish jobs sign in with Firebase Authentication; visitors never get an account through it. Each of these services receives the technical information it needs to do its job.
7. What we use it for
- Replying to your question on the channel you used.
- Weighing your skills and paperwork against the job you picked.
- Passing a suitable application to that job’s employer, then helping with interviews or follow-up requests.
- Running, protecting and fixing the site.
- Measuring how the site is used, within the analytics choice you made.
- Meeting legal duties that apply to us.
Application documents are never used for advertising or profiling. No hiring decision is made purely by an automated system on this site; the employer chooses whom to take on.
8. Your say in how it is used
Whether you contact us is entirely up to you. If we do not have the details a request needs, we may not be able to answer it or consider your application. Please make sure what you send is accurate, and check with your referees before passing on their contact details.
Should we ever want to use or share your information in a new way that needs your agreement, we will explain it and ask first. Emailing us is not a blanket yes to marketing, to sharing with any employer or to every possible transfer overseas. Before your application goes to a different employer from the one you chose, we will check with you.
Analytics consent can be withdrawn through Cookie settings. To withdraw other consent, or to ask us to stop working on an enquiry or application, get in touch with the team; we will tell you what that means in practice and whether there is a lawful reason some records must stay.
10. Information that travels across borders
The site’s server (Google Cloud Run) and its database (Cloud Firestore) run in the Google Cloud region in Singapore. Our team works from the United Arab Emirates, and the employers you apply to are mostly in New Zealand or Australia. So your information may be held in, or reach, several countries, possibly including your own.
Google, Microsoft, Meta and our email and sign-in providers operate worldwide networks, the United States among them. Hosting in Singapore does not keep every step of processing there.
When a law attaches conditions to sending information overseas, we deal with those conditions for that particular disclosure. Under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020, for example, information privacy principle 12 (IPP 12) sets conditions for disclosing personal information to a recipient outside New Zealand, such as comparable safeguards or your authorisation after being told it may not be protected in the same way. We do not claim that every country protects information equally, or that a cookie choice covers every transfer. Ask us which recipients, countries and arrangements apply to your enquiry or application.
11. How long we keep things
Messages and attachments stay with us for as long as we need them for your enquiry, your application and any follow-up. How long that is depends on how the recruitment turns out, whether we are still working with you, and any legal or record-keeping duty or need to protect legal rights. No single period fits every case, and applications are not kept indefinitely as a matter of course.
You can ask what period or criteria apply to you, or ask us to delete your information. Once it is no longer needed for a business or legal reason, it should be deleted or disposed of securely. Server logs expire after 30 days, and the Cookie Policy lists how long browser storage lasts.
12. Keeping it safe
Connections to the site use HTTPS, only authorised staff can reach the administration area, the database has access controls and request limits slow down abuse. Even so, nothing sent over the internet is entirely free of risk. Before you send sensitive documents, check who is receiving them and why, and leave out identity numbers or records the current step does not need.
13. Seeing, correcting and raising concerns
Email jobs@jobsabroad.co.nz and tell us what you need, with enough detail for us to find the right messages. You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, have it corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or tell us about a concern. Before releasing records we may ask you to confirm who you are in a sensible, proportionate way; please do not send a full identity document unless we ask for it.
The scope, exceptions and deadlines for formal rights depend on the law that applies. Where New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 applies, its information privacy principles let you ask for access to your information (IPP 6) and ask for it to be corrected (IPP 7), and the Act generally expects a decision on an access request within 20 working days. The Act also says information should not be kept longer than needed (IPP 9), though it does not give an automatic right to have every record erased.
If we cannot give you something or remove it, we will tell you why. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner about matters it covers, or to another authority where relevant. The operator is based in the UAE, and whether New Zealand law applies depends on the activity involved; this policy does not claim that it covers everything the operator does.
14. For adults
This service is meant for job seekers aged 18 and over. If you think a child has sent us personal information, let us know so we can look into it and remove anything we do not need.
15. Links to other sites
Government agencies, social media and resources such as Skills Assessment Australia, Build AI CV, Talent Tabloid, PractiseNow, Interview Training and Seasonal Jobs Australia are separate services. Look at their own terms and privacy notices before giving them your details.
16. When this policy changes
As the service, our providers or the law change, this policy may be updated, and the date at the top shows which version you are reading. If a change needs extra notice or your consent, we will follow that process.
