A high-volume café kitchen on the Gold Coast is searching for an experienced, motivated Sous Chef to join its leadership group alongside the Head Chef and a second Sous Chef. The work is helping run the kitchen daily, steering busy services and keeping food and kitchen standards high. An experienced Sous Chef fits, and so does a strong senior chef ready to step up.
The employer would consider sponsorship for the right candidate, who must have experience in a similar role and pass a 6-month probation period.

Key Responsibilities
- Steer the kitchen team when service gets busy
- Partner with the Head Chef and the other Sous Chef in running the kitchen day to day
- Coordinate prep, sections and the day's kitchen work
- Keep dishes consistent, well presented and good quality
- Uphold food safety and cleanliness, and coach and support kitchen staff
- Step up and lead the kitchen when required, setting a positive, organised and professional tone
Requirements & Eligibility
- Plenty of experience in a busy, high-volume café or comparable kitchen
- Past Sous Chef, senior chef or supervisory work
- Able to lead a team and run a busy service with confidence
- Strong organisation and communication
- Dependable, calm under pressure and ready to take ownership
- Hands-on, and glad to work alongside the team, with a strong grasp of food quality and consistency
- Free 5 days per week, Saturday and Sunday included
