Combine bistro service with weddings, conferences and other events at an oceanfront Coffs Harbour venue. An expanding hospitality group is seeking an experienced Sous Chef and qualified chefs for the kitchen team. The role includes menus, team leadership and the planning and delivery of functions.
The ideal applicant has 2+ years in similar roles. A sponsorship opportunity is available if required.
Your English CV should show how you manage a kitchen across everyday dining and events. Include your experience with food costing, portions and team development when you present your bistro and events kitchen leadership CV.
Key Responsibilities
- Help develop menus for the bistro and event packages, recruit new talent and develop the existing team.
- Build a positive workplace and lead the kitchen team within KPIs.
- Manage food quality, presentation and portion control.
- Oversee bistro service and all planning and delivery of regular functions and events.
Requirements & Eligibility
- 2+ years in similar roles and high emotional intelligence with strong people management.
- A demonstrated record managing a fast-paced, multifaceted kitchen.
- Attention to detail and quality control, with understanding of costing and profits.
- Strong planning and organisational skills.
