Pan, grill and cold larder: a country hotel pub in Dubbo wants an experienced senior cook or chef with real time on those stations. Expect days, nights and weekends, backing up the Head Chef and steering the junior kitchen team on shift.
Sponsorship is available for the right candidate. The role is open to applicants already living in Australia who can attend a trial.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook and plate to the menu guidelines, recipes and what the Head Chef asks for
- Monitor stock levels and limit wastage
- Model techniques and give junior staff advice on cooking procedures
- Supervise kitchen attendants and apprentices during your shift
- Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen and food storage areas under food safety legislation
- Take part in receiving and checking deliveries and supplies, confirming quality and proper storage
- Prepare meals for special dietary needs, and contribute to menu planning
- Stick to food handling and safety procedures and tell the Head Chef about any incident
Requirements & Eligibility
- 5 years at least of hands-on cooking on the pan and grill sections
- Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery
- A skills assessment for cook or chef
- Currently resident in Australia, and able to come in for a trial
- Flexible, with availability on days, nights and weekends
- Strong teamwork skills
- Strong communication skills
