Japanese cooking and sushi skills are needed for a full-time Perth restaurant and bar position. The izakaya-style kitchen serves Japanese and fusion food at high volume. You will contribute across the kitchen, including menu development and checks on food quality, with close communication during service.
The split service hours are 11:30 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Cook Japanese and fusion dishes, including sushi, for lunch and dinner.
- Contribute to developing the menu and checking food quality.
- Cover sushi and all-round kitchen work as needed while maintaining standards in a high-end, high-volume setting and communicating closely with colleagues.
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 1 year working in a Japanese restaurant, with experience as a sushi chef, all-rounder chef or cook.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese and fusion cuisine.
- Able to help with menu development and quality control, with a background in high-end and high-volume restaurants.
- A strong sense of responsibility and excellent communication and teamwork skills.
