Lead the kitchen at a Melbourne care community in a permanent full-time Head Chef role. Meals need to be nutritious, balanced and enjoyable while meeting residents' preferences and individual dietary requirements. The position combines seasonal menu planning and cooking with staff leadership, stock and budget responsibility.

An English CV should show senior culinary leadership, your Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and experience with dietary needs. prepare a care community Head Chef CV with clear examples of menu planning, kitchen costs and team support. Key Responsibilities
- Lead staff confidently and positively and cook nutritious, balanced meals that residents enjoy, presenting them consistently to a high standard.
- Plan seasonal menus around preferences and individual dietary and nutritional needs and create pleasant resident dining experiences.
- Maintain excellent hygiene, food safety and compliant kitchen practices.
- Order supplies, manage supplier requirements and monitor stock to minimise waste.
- Control kitchen expenditure and budgets and train, guide and support colleagues in a safe, collaborative workplace.
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised Commercial Cookery qualification, with Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent preferred.
- Head Chef or senior culinary leadership experience and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Strong food safety and hygiene understanding and menu development and dietary management experience.
- Excellent people management and leadership, with strong planning and communication.
- Experience controlling kitchen costs and stock, with passion for exceptional food and service and a respectful, caring approach to residents.
- Able to complete a medical assessment and background checks.
