Take commercial and operational responsibility for an Albany hospitality kitchen. The Head Chef leads staff, maintains food quality and keeps service performance and costs on track. The position includes menu direction, kitchen systems and purchasing as well as hands-on leadership and safe working standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for daily kitchen performance across all services and organise staff while leading the team.
- Maintain consistent production, portions and presentation and develop efficient systems, standard recipes and operating procedures.
- Manage suppliers, purchasing, stock, inventory, ordering and rotation.
- Control food and labour costs, minimise waste and track budgets and financial targets.
- Refresh seasonal menus and offerings and recruit, onboard, train and mentor staff, conducting development and performance reviews.
- Comply with food safety and HACCP requirements and workplace health and safety standards.
Requirements & Eligibility
- A proven Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef record and experience running a busy restaurant kitchen.
- Sound operational and financial management with demonstrated control of food and kitchen labour costs.
- Able to lead and manage staff effectively, with previous development and implementation of kitchen systems.
- Confident purchasing and supplier management and excellent understanding of food safety and HACCP principles.
- Good modern Australian cuisine knowledge and ability to create quality menus that are commercially sound.
- Sharp problem-solving, good organisation and clear communication, maintaining high standards under pressure.
