Lively venues need someone steady on the floor. A hotel with a beer garden and a restaurant, in a seaside town close to Christchurch, is hiring a permanent full-time Duty Manager who will move between the two venues. Your reporting line goes to the Venue Manager and GM, and your day is spent overseeing operations, guiding the front-of-house team and keeping a quick-moving service calm, because no two days look alike.

Key Responsibilities
- Keep both venues running well from one shift to the next
- Meet the requirements of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and the licensing rules that go with it
- Direct the front of house teams, backing outstanding customer service, and handle staffing and bookings so service flows
- Make the place warm, safe and professional for guests and colleagues alike
Requirements & Eligibility
- NZ Duty Manager Certificate (LCQ + Manager's Certificate) held currently, or a willingness to obtain it
- Background in hospitality management or supervision
- Great communication skills
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Solid grasp of host responsibility and alcohol compliance
- Proactive, positive outlook, especially when under pressure
