A modern Sunshine Coast community club needs casual chefs for its food outlets and functions. The right candidate can expect 35-40 hours weekly, supporting efficient service and consistent food quality across the venue. The club includes food and beverage operations, an events and function centre and a sports bar.
This role is open to applicants already in Australia with work authorisation at application. The employer will consider sponsorship for the right applicant after an agreeable trial period as a casual.
Use an English CV to show commercial kitchen experience, bistro work and your approach to food safety. prepare a community club chef CV with clear service examples. Give examples of preparing for bistro service and keeping food consistent across orders. Explain your contribution alongside the head chef, rather than relying on the job title to convey your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the head chef in delivering efficient service and high, consistent food quality across every outlet.
- Follow the Food Safety Act and the venue's food safety system.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum three years in a commercial kitchen; bistro cuisine experience is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with honesty, reliability and a positive approach to service excellence.
- Able to contribute to a team, multitask and work well under pressure; time management is essential.
- Neat, tidy and well presented at all times.
- Australian work authorisation is required at the time of application.
