Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food to the restaurant's standards, keeping your section on track through service
- Prep produce, keep preparation spaces organised and keep quality, plating and portions even
- Observe food safety, hygiene and workplace safety rules
- Assist with stock checks, deliveries and inventory counts
- Keep work areas clean, safe and tidy
- Work together with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues, supporting those with less experience
- On the floor, welcome guests, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Answer guests' menu questions
- Clear, clean and reset tables
- Handle payments and orders on the POS system
- Help the dining room stay welcoming and professional, and assist with wider restaurant duties when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 1 year working in commercial kitchens, for Chef and Cook roles
- Demonstrable experience cooking Asian cuisine; experience with Japanese cuisine is not required
- Australian qualifications relevant to the role are preferred
- A work history that is genuine and checkable, with practical skills you can demonstrate in the job
- Communicates well and works well in a team
- Dependable and professional on the job
- Open to learning the way the workplace does things
- Wants to build a long-term hospitality career
- Holds valid Australian work rights
- Currently residing in Australia
