Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily kitchen operations and preparation and lead staff within a positive professional culture.
- Plan and serve quality meals tailored to dietary, nutritional and personal resident needs.
- Maintain food safety, HACCP and hygiene and monitor food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Organise rosters and workflow and use ingredients, equipment and resources efficiently.
- Improve kitchen and dining operations and coordinate with care and support teams, maintaining respectful relationships with residents, families and colleagues and workplace and food safety standards.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised Chef qualification supported by verifiable documents and demonstrable professional Chef work with previous kitchen supervision or management.
- High-volume or large-scale catering experience and strong HACCP and food safety knowledge.
- Able to prepare varied, high-standard nutritious meals and understand dietary and nutritional needs.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and reliable organisation in kitchen management.
- Previous aged care, healthcare, hospitality or institutional catering is advantageous.
- Evidence of qualifications and relevant employment and ability to meet applicable Australian employment and visa requirements.
