Hamilton's busy cafe is looking for an experienced, motivated Chef to fill a permanent full-time place in the kitchen. Daily food preparation, cooking and menu execution are the core of the job, delivering quality food across the cafe, functions and catering with high standards of quality, presentation and hygiene.
Variety comes from everyday cafe customers, group bookings, tour groups and special events, including Christmas functions, weddings, birthdays and high teas, all in a busy kitchen. The employer is an Immigration New Zealand accredited employer, so it can sponsor applicants.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare food, cook and carry out the menu each day across the cafe, functions and catering

Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 12 months' previous experience as a Chef in a cafe, restaurant or commercial kitchen
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking and presentation
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
- Manages time effectively and handles pressure during busy service periods
- Strong organisation, independent and team-minded, positive, reliable, and proud of quality food
