Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook varied high-quality bistro dishes and contribute weekly specials, menu ideas and planning.
- Estimate labour and food requirements and order and monitor supplies.
- Check consistent quality and presentation throughout preparation and service and coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house for smooth delivery.
- Guide cooking techniques and preparation procedures and help train and develop colleagues when asked.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety to regulations and a clean, efficient and organised kitchen, supporting busy service and preservation, freezing and storage as required.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of relevant commercial kitchen or Chef experience and practical professional food preparation and cooking.
- Strong quality control, presentation and preparation understanding and knowledge of food safety and commercial hygiene.
- Able to work efficiently in busy hospitality with strong teamwork and communication.
- Reliable, motivated and ready for responsibility, with creative food preparation and weekly specials ideas.
- Flexible for shifts including weekends and public holidays and positive about teamwork and continuing improvement.
