Key Responsibilities
- Prepare European and modern Australian dishes consistently to a high standard.
- Run an assigned section during service and assist others as needed, completing daily preparation promptly and accurately.
- Maintain steady food quality, presentation and portion control and help the small kitchen team deliver smooth busy services.
- Follow established preparation methods, recipes and kitchen standards, monitoring ingredients and stock to reduce waste.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and workplace safety and provide dependable evening, weekend and split-shift service.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher; a relevant trade qualification in Commercial Cookery.
- Minimum 2 years of professional modern Australian or European cuisine experience.
- A background in a fine-dining or quality-focused commercial kitchen; Chef de Partie or section-level experience is highly regarded.
- Strong all-round food preparation and cooking ability, able to run a section independently.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain quality while controlling waste, with sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.
- Works well in a small professional team and available for evening, weekend and split-shift rosters; qualifications and employment history must be genuine and verifiable.
