Run an outdoor and adventure retail store in Dunedin, taking responsibility for daily results and the shop floor. The Store Manager coaches a small team and maintains knowledgeable customer advice, supported by an Assistant Manager and regional leadership. The role needs hands-on retail leadership and genuine interest in outdoor recreation.

Key Responsibilities
- Own daily store operations and sales results, leading from the floor and setting a practical example.
- Coach staff with regular feedback and product education and build accountability, teamwork and service culture.
- Pursue agreed KPIs and respond to sales opportunities as customer needs change.
- Manage stock, administration and merchandising and identify efficiency and customer satisfaction improvements.
- Support employee training and maintain service, presentation and compliance standards with the Assistant Manager and regional leaders.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Retail leadership as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager or comparable senior role, with a record coaching, managing and developing retail staff.
- Solid understanding of commercial retail performance, sales targets and KPIs, with confident hands-on leadership.
- Strong customer relationships and service, sound administration, organisation and operational management.
- Able to motivate a small team and clarify performance standards, with strong decision-making and communication.
- Real enthusiasm for outdoor recreation, adventure, technical clothing or specialist outdoor equipment and comfort in fast-paced customer-facing retail.
- International applicants need verifiable relevant professional experience; anyone seeking Accredited Employer sponsorship must meet applicable New Zealand employment and immigration requirements.
- Available for the required Tuesday–Saturday roster.
