Queenstown is busy with visitors all year, and this vehicle rental branch keeps them moving. The role mixes counter and phone service with hands-on care of the fleet: you will advise travellers and local customers, put together quotes and contracts, and make sure every vehicle is clean, checked and ready to go out.
It is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours a week on a roster. The branch opens 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and until 1.00pm on Saturdays, and in a small team everyone helps across branch operations. The business is an Accredited Employer with Immigration NZ; it would ideally recruit suitable, available NZ workers, but if it cannot make such an appointment, sponsoring a candidate who needs a work visa can be considered.

Key Responsibilities
- Take calls, advise customers on their options and prepare quotes
- Draw up rental contracts and complete transactions
- Organise vehicle deliveries and collections
- Look after office administration and keep customer accounts up to date
- Groom the branch's rental fleet to the highest standard and carry out all the required compliance checks
- Spot repair and maintenance problems early and escalate them, and manage maintenance and damage as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- Full Class 1 Driver Licence, or overseas equivalent
- Basic to intermediate computer skills
- Previous customer-facing service experience, ideally in vehicle rental but not essential; previous grooming experience is preferred but not essential
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a confident phone manner
- Great attention to detail and excellent time management skills
