Install commercial roofing and cladding on large Hamilton projects. The opening can suit experienced roofers or construction workers with transferable trade skills, working with modern systems and an experienced team. Accurate measuring, cutting and fixing are required alongside safe movement between project sites.
Experienced overseas Roofers may be considered for sponsorship.
An English CV should show the roofing systems or transferable construction work you know. prepare a Hamilton commercial roofing installation CV with examples of flashings, underlay and sheet installation. Explain your role in interpreting drawings, checking the finished work and keeping tools and site practices safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial roofing and undertake related construction work precisely to project requirements.
- Measure and cut materials around penetrations, vents, corners, ridges and other details and secure edge and ridge flashings.
- Position waterproof sheets and underlay and fix them correctly, align starter sheets and fasten roof sheets securely with correct overlaps.
- Interpret drawings, specifications and site needs and establish required materials for modern roofing, cladding and architectural systems.
- Maintain consistent finishes, inspect work and correct installation issues.
- Identify hazards, follow safety procedures and handle materials and tools safely, coordinating productively with supervisors and construction colleagues.
- Travel to projects as needed and keep work areas safe and tidy.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven roofing experience is preferred; commercial roofing or cladding experience is highly regarded.
- Construction workers with transferable trade skills may be considered.
- Able to measure, cut and install accurately and interpret drawings and specifications.
- Practical site safety understanding, strong attention to detail and quality focus and good practical problem-solving.
- Reliable, committed teamwork and physical ability for roofing and construction duties.
- Willing to learn roofing and cladding techniques and travel between sites when required.
- Overseas applicants must meet applicable New Zealand employment and immigration requirements.
