Timber ramps, steps and accessibility upgrades fill the working week at a Melbourne home-modification specialist. It is looking for a trade-qualified Carpenter, experienced and strong in residential construction. The subcontract is full-time on weekdays, leaving weekends free, and the finished jobs help older people and anyone with mobility needs live more safely at home.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and fit timber ramps, steps and accessibility changes for bathrooms
- Handle timber construction, framing, structural assembly and installation
- Pour minor concrete for landings and pathways
- Measure sites
- Read drawings and adjust as required
- Check workmanship against building, safety and accessibility standards
- Record job details, photos and site notes using a tablet
Requirements & Eligibility
- Holds a trade qualification as a Carpenter and has at least 3 years' relevant experience
- Residential carpentry experience that is proven
- Experience constructing ramps, steps, or comparable structures
- Knowledge of the relevant building codes and accessibility standards
- Reads drawings and works independently
- Supplies own carpentry tools
- Holds a valid ABN
- Holds a current Australian driver's licence
- Appropriate Australian work rights, or eligibility for employer sponsorship
- Available for 6:00 am starts when required
- Able to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
