Your week would involve coordinating the engineering side of construction, chasing subcontractors to stay on programme and settling technical queries that pass between consultants and engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering and construction tasks each day on major building projects, keeping site teams and stakeholders in contact
- Plan and monitor formwork and concrete structure works, liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and construction teams
- Check drawings, specifications and engineering documents and settle technical matters between consultants, engineers and subcontractors
- Assist with programme, work sequence and construction plans, measuring progress against schedules and key milestones
- Support contract administration and project reporting
- Identify construction problems early, help find workable technical answers and check quality against what the project requires
- Keep project records, documents and progress reports, support senior project staff and help finish the works safely, efficiently and on time
Requirements & Eligibility
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction Management
- 2–5+ years of relevant post-graduate construction experience
- You have proven experience in formwork and concrete structures, and have worked on high-rise, commercial or large-scale building projects
- You have worked for a construction subcontractor
- You understand construction programming and work sequencing
- You have contract administration experience and strong capability coordinating and managing subcontractors
- You combine sound technical ability with good communication and organisation
- You can demonstrate and verify your qualifications and professional experience
- Relevant overseas construction experience is welcomed
- Able to meet Australian employment and sponsorship requirements
