Coordinate complex civil construction in a permanent Brisbane engineering position. Working with the Project Manager and site teams, the senior engineer provides technical guidance and keeps construction aligned with drawings, budgets and programmes. The roster is 2/1 DIDO/BIBO.
An English CV should show your Civil Engineering Degree and major project delivery experience. prepare a senior civil project engineering CV with examples of technical query resolution, subcontractor budgets and construction sequencing. Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering on major civil projects and assist the Project Manager with safe, efficient and timely delivery.
- Check construction against approved drawings, budgets, specifications and requirements and prepare, monitor and revise plans, programmes and schedules.
- Advise site teams technically, review civil, structural and services drawings and resolve engineering queries.
- Assist subcontractor and supplier procurement and engagement and monitor performance, cost and deliverables.
- Sequence work to approved programmes and maintain quality requirements and control procedures.
- Assist budgets, project costs, monthly finance reports and cost-to-complete forecasts and identify risks, construction issues and likely delays.
- Coordinate with managers, supervisors, suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders and lead good site safety.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent and Minimum 7 years' engineering experience in civil infrastructure or construction.
- Experience helping deliver major civil projects and solid construction method understanding.
- Confident interpretation of civil, structural and services drawings and a record resolving technical and engineering queries.
- Sound scheduling, planning and sequencing knowledge and subcontractor and supplier budget management.
- Understanding of assurance and quality control systems and commercial and project management awareness, with excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Demonstrated workplace health and safety commitment, able to work a 2/1 DIDO/BIBO roster and relevant Australian work rights or eligibility for employer sponsorship.
