Fabricate steel frames, gates and other products for an established Perth fencing manufacturer. The long-term position combines component preparation, assembly and MIG welding, with scope to learn other parts of factory operations.
The role is open to applicants already living in Australia with valid work rights; eligible Working Holiday visa holders (417/462) may apply. Potential employer sponsorship under the subclass 482 Skills in Demand visa is subject to occupation, skills assessment and immigration requirements. The qualification route needs at least 12 months of relevant skilled work in the past five years; the experience-only alternative requires at least three years.

Key Responsibilities
- Cut, shape and prepare steel components before assembling them into frames, gates and other products.
- Use MIG and other relevant welding processes.
- Interpret fabrication specifications and technical drawings, operating fabrication machinery, equipment and hand tools.
- Check finished products and welds for accuracy and quality.
- Learn other factory operations and assist other teams as required.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Either a Certificate III/IV in metal fabrication or welding (or a comparable overseas trade qualification), with at least 12 months of relevant skilled work in the past five years.
- Or at least three years of skilled metal fabrication and/or professional welding experience without formal qualifications.
- Payslips and employer references verifying skilled duties and employment dates, plus practical welding and fabrication competency.
- Current residence in Australia with valid working rights and willingness to undertake a formal skills assessment if required.
