Key Responsibilities
- General upkeep and repairs, inside and outside the buildings
- Mixed workload: small repairs one day, support for larger construction projects the next
- Flag defects and maintenance problems that need attention
- Answer tenant requests quickly, courteously and with a proper fix
- Run planned preventative maintenance
- Help with building improvement works
- Work out practical ways to keep the buildings in good shape for the long term
- Leave work areas safe and tidy and finish jobs to a high standard
- Lend a hand supervising external trades when asked
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hands-on background in building maintenance, general repairs or a relevant trade
- Takes pride in the work and pays close attention to detail
- Confident with tools, good at finding practical fixes for maintenance problems
- Reliable and proactive, comfortable alone or in a team
- Presentable, with clear communication with tenants, colleagues and contractors
- Willing to learn new skills and to take on a variety of tasks
- A stable employment history
- A wish for a long-term opportunity
- Available for a rotating roster that includes Saturdays
