Work alongside the CFO in a Sydney construction business's finance team. The Management Accountant covers reporting, month-end work, budgets, forecasts, cash and finance systems. The project-based environment needs practical financial insight and cooperation with operational managers as well as accounting colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete month-end accounts and reconciliations and maintain accurate ledgers and underlying records.
- Produce monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting and interpret results for managers.
- Assist annual budgets, current forecasts and overhead planning and monitor financial performance.
- Track daily cash and incorporate it in cash flow forecasts and prepare management analysis and reports as requested.
- Improve finance processes and reporting accuracy and maintain reliable data flow, integrity and efficiency across systems and integrations.
- Partner with the CFO, finance and operational teams on commercial and project initiatives in a complex construction setting.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline and CA or CPA qualified or progressing towards qualification.
- Solid accounting principles and financial reporting, practical month-end experience and a management reporting, budgeting or forecasting background.
- Confident Excel and finance systems use and sharp accuracy and detail, able to analyse information for issues and opportunities.
- Clear professional communication and stakeholder management with finance and non-finance teams.
- Construction or project accounting experience is advantageous; Jobpac experience is advantageous.
- Strong Big 4 or mid-tier audit or Business Services applicants are encouraged.
- Candidates with approximately 6–12 months or more of commercial accounting experience may be considered.
