Join a Brisbane boutique accounting firm's Tax & Business Services team as a Junior or Intermediate Accountant. The firm works with varied clients on accounting, tax and business advice. Its fixed-fee approach has no timesheets or traditional targets, with emphasis on quality, efficiency and client results.
You will work closely with a Senior Manager across a broad range of assignments. Visa sponsorship opportunities are available for suitable candidates requiring employer support.
An English CV should show Australian public practice experience, Xero knowledge and progress towards CA or CPA. shape a tax and business services accounting CV around the work you have personally completed.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements, income tax returns and BAS for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
- Help deliver general business services and meet taxation compliance requirements.
- Communicate with the ATO, ASIC and other relevant authorities.
- Work with senior colleagues to deliver quality client outcomes and gain exposure to tax planning and business advisory work as your experience develops.
Requirements & Eligibility
- A minimum of 18 months in Australian public practice accounting within Tax & Business Services, with relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting.
- Interested in completing, or already studying towards, a CA or CPA qualification.
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software.
- Strong communication and excellent attention to detail, with a motivated, positive attitude and real desire to develop your accounting career.
