In Darwin, a commercial landscaping contractor is adding a skilled Commercial Landscaper to a crew on landscape construction projects across the Northern Territory. Jobs run from excavation and site prep through drainage and irrigation, paving, retaining structures, turf and planting, so this is for a tradesperson with proven practical ability who owns their results.

Key Responsibilities
- Excavate and prepare sites, and complete the groundworks
- Set levels and form accurate bases
- Plant gardens, lay turf and spread mulch
- Build paved areas, edges and small concrete features
- Construct retaining walls and similar landscape structures
- Install drainage and irrigation systems
- Operate plant, machinery and landscaping equipment safely
- Handle general hard and soft landscaping on commercial sites
- Keep standards consistent, with close attention to detail
- Leave tools, equipment and work areas clean and orderly, and follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Work to project schedules and construction targets
- Talk with supervisors and teammates, and work independently when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- A minimum of 2 years' proven landscape construction experience
- Sound hands-on knowledge of commercial landscaping that you can demonstrate
- A relevant formal landscaping qualification is advantageous
- Reliable, punctual and committed
- Safety-focused and proud of quality workmanship
- A current full driver's licence is essential
- Your own reliable transport is essential
- An MR driver's licence is advantageous
- A current White Card is essential
- Permanent Australian work rights are preferred; temporary residents need not apply
- Working with Children Card (OCHRE), or willingness to obtain one
- DCAC for Robertson Barracks is advantageous
- Physically able to do outdoor landscape construction work
- A team player who also works well independently and is looking for a stable, long-term position
