An electrical services business in Wellington is hiring a qualified electrician full time, someone who respects safe, compliant practice and likes no two weeks being the same. The team, which is well established, needs a person for maintenance, repairs, fault finding and installations, with some commercial work in the mix. Candidates with a documented record of their trade will be well placed.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, service and repair electrical equipment, tracking down and diagnosing faults
- Install electrical systems in a mix of settings, taking on commercial work when required
- Test systems to find what needs maintenance or repair, read plans, specifications and technical information, and operate tools, test equipment and machinery correctly
- Work safely, meet compliance rules and finish to a high standard, leaving the area clean and orderly
- Manage jobs independently, cooperate with colleagues and serve customers professionally and reliably
Requirements & Eligibility
- You hold relevant trade certification as a qualified electrician
- You have practical experience of electrical maintenance
- You are well versed in electrical repairs and fault finding
- Your employment history is proven and verifiable
- Commercial electrical experience is advantageous
- You understand electrical safety, compliance and workplace procedures
- You can diagnose problems and work technical issues through independently
- You pay close attention to detail and care about quality
- You are dependable, professional and hardworking, and talk effectively with customers and teammates
- Willing to provide documents supporting your qualifications and work experience; overseas candidates must satisfy applicable New Zealand employment and immigration requirements
