Construction Technician

Visa sponsorship

Construction · Dunedin, New Zealand · Full-Time · $27 - $35/hr · Visa: Employer sponsored

Reliable workers with genuine hands-on building experience are wanted in Dunedin. As Construction Technician / Assistant you would back up experienced tradespeople with the daily work on site, where practical knowledge, a strong work ethic and safe, quality workmanship are valued.

Along the way you pick up more experience with tools, materials, equipment and site routines. Suitable candidates who meet the requirements may find sponsorship pathways available.

Spell out on your CV what you have done on site, whether concrete, formwork or finishing, and which tools you use, with dates that are easy to follow. A CV builder keeps the layout simple.

  • Handle hand tools and basic power tools safely and as site rules say, and help erect temporary site structures and safety barriers
  • Remove construction waste, keep the site orderly and tell supervisors about hazards, defects or other issues
