Climb, rig and undertake tree work across Tauranga commercial, rural and residential properties. The arborist works with ground staff on reductions, technical removals and controlled dismantling, from larger commercial projects to smaller garden jobs. Safe work at height and care for machinery are central to the role.
Employer-supported work visa sponsorship is available for suitable candidates. International applicants with relevant qualifications and experience are welcome.
An English CV should show your arboriculture qualification or equivalent experience and the climbing and rigging you perform. build a climbing arborist CV with technical removal experience with your driving licence and safety responsibilities clear.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform climbing arborist work at commercial, rural and residential sites, including reductions, rigging, technical removals and controlled dismantling.
- Climb and work safely at height with professional arboricultural equipment and operate and care for specialist machinery.
- Support large commercial projects and smaller residential work, following planned methods and site safety requirements with ground staff.
- Identify opportunities to retain trees and vegetation.
- Attend emergency tree work when required and maintain professional standards on every assignment.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Level 3 or 4 Arboriculture qualification or equivalent experience, with professional climbing arborist experience.
- Competent climbing, rigging and technical removals, able to climb without close supervision.
- Class 1 driver's licence essential; Class 2 or Heavy Transport licence advantageous.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, with honest, dependable and motivated conduct and good teamwork and communication.
- Willing to undertake additional training and development.
