Perth's big commercial construction sites need ceiling and interior-lining tradespeople for long-term, full-time engagements. The hiring business, a trades recruiter, wants real ceiling fixers and gypsum board installers who are confident working from plans, marking out their own work and finishing installs without hand-holding. Candidates who built up commercial time in New Zealand fitting suspended ceilings, steel stud partitions, plasterboard and interior systems will stand out.
Eligible candidates can be offered 482 employer sponsorship, with possible routes towards Australian permanent residency.

Key Responsibilities
- Put up suspended grid (T-bar) ceilings and plasterboard ceilings
- Fit acoustic ceilings, ceiling framing, furring channels and suspension systems
- Erect steel stud walls and partitions, bulkheads and specialist interior details
- Fix gypsum board / plasterboard, fire-rated and acoustic systems included
- Study plans, take measurements and mark out, then work through the job independently
Requirements & Eligibility
- Plenty of commercial experience with ceilings, partitions, plasterboard and interior systems
- Able to interpret plans, take measurements, set out and work without supervision
- Hospitals, schools, apartments, offices, high-rise or other major commercial projects in New Zealand are of particular interest
- Confident spoken English and a solid work history
- At interview, be ready to explain clearly the work you have completed personally
