Build structural and finished timber work across Melbourne residential and commercial projects. The carpenter role ranges from framing and flooring to external timber, fittings, repairs and temporary formwork. You will interpret drawings, plan work and measure carefully to deliver an accurate, tidy result.

An English CV should identify your Carpentry qualification and the construction work you complete confidently. prepare a Melbourne structural and general carpentry CV with examples of framing, installations and repairs. Explain how you work from specifications, select materials and maintain site safety alongside the wider construction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret architectural and construction drawings and specifications to plan stages, measurements, materials and task sequence.
- Mark, measure, cut and shape timber and building materials.
- Frame walls, roofs, floor joists and sub-floors, aligning and fastening structural timber securely.
- Install timber door and window frames and related components and complete fascia, wall cladding and roof sheathing.
- Fit prefabricated and timber fittings, trimming and adjusting them on site, and repair, alter or replace damaged timber structures.
- Erect and remove temporary timber concrete formwork and use construction equipment and hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain good workmanship and follow site safety procedures.
Requirements & Eligibility
- A Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent recognised qualification and proven residential and/or commercial construction experience.
- Practical timber framing and structural carpentry knowledge and general installation, repair and carpentry experience.
- Confident use of carpentry hand tools, power tools and equipment and accurate interpretation of drawings and specifications.
- Strong measuring, cutting, fitting and installation, with understanding of building methods and workplace safety.
- Able to work independently and contribute to a construction team and willing to meet relevant Australian construction and site requirements.
