Lay and finish brickwork on Perth residential and commercial construction projects. The employer assesses recognised qualifications and practical experience before proceeding. Key Responsibilities
- Interpret building drawings, plans and specifications and accurately set out work before construction.
- Lay bricks and blocks to required line, level and specifications and mix mortar to correct consistency.
- Check alignment with levels and measuring tools and cut bricks with trade equipment.
- Finish to high quality and correct workmanship or alignment issues.
- Follow construction and safety procedures, coordinate with supervisors and trades and care for tools, equipment and areas while completing tasks on schedule.
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised Bricklaying trade qualification, minimum Certificate III or equivalent, with demonstrable professional experience.
- Strong practical residential and commercial construction knowledge and ability to read plans.
- A proven record of consistent, accurate brickwork and competence with cutting equipment, levels and measuring tools.
- Understanding of construction workplace safety, with reliable professional commitment.
- Able to work independently and within a team, physically capable of bricklaying and able to evidence relevant qualifications and employment.
