Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily breeder farm operations and performance and organise flock activities to established production procedures.
- Monitor bird health, flock results and production indicators and apply sound husbandry to maintain breeder condition.
- Maintain strict biosecurity, hygiene, disease prevention and animal welfare.
- Lead, supervise, develop and roster employees for daily activities.
- Identify production issues and implement practical corrective action, keeping accurate records and reports.
- Improve productivity, efficiency and consistency with senior management, meeting agreed targets and building accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 5 years of practical poultry production and demonstrated poultry farm management or supervision.
- Strong breeder production, flock management and husbandry knowledge and understanding of health, disease prevention and biosecurity.
- Understanding of welfare and industry standards and commitment to animal welfare, biosecurity and quality.
- Proven staff leadership, supervision and development and strong organisation, planning and time management.
- Able to interpret production data and identify performance problems, with strong reporting and communication.
- Demonstrated practical farm problem-solving and proactive production improvement, with verifiable employment and technical capabilities.
