Document existing residential and medium-density properties for a Sydney multidisciplinary consultancy. The drafting role combines measured drawings with planning and Development Application material, including homes being reinstated or redesigned after fire, tree or vehicle damage. Clear technical work and coordination with specialist consultants are central to the brief.

An English CV should show your 2D AutoCAD and existing-building documentation experience. build an architectural drafting and development application CV with examples of site measurements, planning submissions and consultant coordination. Explain how you maintain accuracy and manage your workload to agreed deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure and document existing residential and medium-density buildings, converting site observations into detailed architectural drawings.
- Prepare preliminary plans and identify structural elements in documentation.
- Review LEPs, DCPs and development requirements and prepare Statements of Environmental Effects and associated planning documents.
- Assemble and submit Development Application packages through the planning portal and progress DA submissions.
- Coordinate designers and heritage, bushfire, stormwater, structural, civil, surveying and arboricultural consultants.
- Produce professional 2D AutoCAD sheets in model and paper space to drafting standards, proof drawings and documents for accuracy, consistency and completeness and resolve technical issues promptly.
- Communicate requirements to clients, consultants and colleagues, own workload and deadlines and contribute practical ideas as the practice grows.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Architectural drafting, planning or closely related experience and proven 2D AutoCAD proficiency.
- Practical existing-building drawings, site measurement and accurate condition documentation and familiarity with residential and medium-density architectural records.
- A record preparing or supporting Development Applications and working knowledge of NSW LEPs, DCPs and planning requirements, including Statements of Environmental Effects.
- Strong drafting standards and drawing office procedures, with precise detail, analysis and technical problem-solving.
- Comfortable coordinating consultants and dealing with clients and stakeholders, with strong organisation and time management and ownership under limited supervision.
- Professional spoken and written English and working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe applications.
- Relevant qualifications and/or substantial industry practice; experienced architectural drafters are encouraged to apply.
