Hervey Bay has an opening with a commercial services business for experienced HVAC and refrigeration tradespeople. The jobs range across commercial air conditioning, coolrooms, freezer rooms, ventilation, chilled water systems and catering equipment, which gives you a lot of variety.
Sponsorship is available for suitably qualified overseas candidates, subject to verification and eligibility requirements. You need a trade qualification and real commercial or industrial hours behind you.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, service and maintain commercial air conditioning and refrigeration plant
- Trace faults and work out what is wrong, whether mechanical, electrical or refrigerant-related
- Run planned maintenance visits and scheduled servicing
- Set up coolrooms and freezer rooms and look after the equipment around them
- Install and maintain building ventilation, from commercial and industrial systems to kitchen exhaust and specialist work
- Service commercial kitchen and catering appliances
- Assist on chilled water systems, from installation through to servicing
- Test and commission systems, then confirm they perform as designed
- Work from technical documents, drawings and manufacturer specs
- Record service details and job paperwork accurately
- Join technicians and project crews on commercial and industrial sites, following Australian workplace health and safety procedures
- Build up your technical skills on the tools and through training
Requirements & Eligibility
- A qualification suited to the role: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, HVAC, Electrical or a related trade
- Practical time in commercial or industrial settings
- An employment history that is genuine, relevant and verifiable, backed by evidence of your qualifications, trade experience and technical skills
- A firm grasp of HVAC, refrigeration or related mechanical systems
- Practical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- At ease working solo or in a professional technical team
- Serious about safety and quality workmanship, with good communication and problem-solving
- Keen to learn how Australian workplaces operate and to keep developing
- People with a mechanical, maintenance, construction or manufacturing background and transferable skills may also be considered
- Willing to go through the relevant skills and employment verification process and to meet applicable Australian employment and visa requirements
