In Cairns, two childcare centres are recruiting 12 passionate Childcare Workers for full-time roles caring for children aged 0-6 years. A Certificate III is required, either held or being studied towards, or else a Diploma in Early Childhood.
The company holds Business Sponsorship Approval from the Government for qualified overseas workers, and the occupation is on the approved list. Visa conditions and type, a successful ACECQA skills assessment, English test scores and a successful trial period all apply.
Early childhood employers look for your qualification, your Blue Card and your first aid training. Describe the age groups you have worked with in plain English, then prepare a childcare worker application CV.
Key Responsibilities
- Make the centre a safe, fun, warm and welcoming place
- Support and deliver a quality educational curriculum
- Help with documentation that follows the EYLF, NQF and NQS
- Talk to families and parents, building warm, respectful relationships with them and their children, and a solid home-school partnership
- Work closely with other early childhood educators as one team
Requirements & Eligibility
- Studying towards or holding a Certificate III, or holding a Diploma in Early Childhood
- A love of working with children aged 0-6 years
- Excellent written and spoken communication
- Computer skills for electronic programming and portfolios
- A current Queensland Blue Card
- Understanding of the regulatory requirements set by the National Regulations and National Quality Standards
- First Aid qualifications plus Anaphylaxis and Asthma training, if successful; hardworking, enthusiastic and open-minded, with an innovative approach
