Help older people with daily living in Melbourne residential aged care homes. Care Assistants and Aged Care Workers provide person-centred support, protecting comfort, dignity, independence and safety. Duties combine personal care and mobility assistance with companionship, observation and clear communication with nurses, families and care colleagues.
Offshore applicants may be considered for employer sponsorship subject to eligibility; onshore applicants with suitable Australian work rights are also welcome.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide kind, person-centred resident care, assisting showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and hygiene.
- Help residents move safely, including transfers and mobility equipment, and support meals, drinks and feeding.
- Offer companionship, emotional support and participation in routines and activities.
- Follow individual plans and home procedures for infection control, manual handling and safety.
- Observe and report physical, emotional or behavioural changes and keep clear care notes.
- Coordinate with nurses, carers, allied health professionals and families, respecting privacy, dignity, culture and preferences and promoting independence.
Requirements & Eligibility
- A qualification in aged care, healthcare, nursing assistance or personal care; previous aged care, residential care or disability support experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of person-centred care and strong interpersonal and communication skills, with English suitable for workplace and resident conversations.
- Compassionate, professional and dependable, able to build respectful relationships with residents and care teams.
- Able to follow plans, procedures and standards and flexible about shifts including weekends where required.
