In regional Western Australia, a community disability support organisation is hiring Support Workers on contract. The aim is to help the people it supports live independent lives, through skill building, help around the home and personal care, whether at home or out in the community, always guided by person-centred support.

Key Responsibilities
- Work to each person's individual, person-centred plan, taking ownership of the activities planned
- Arrange and lead outings and leisure activities
- Support people to follow their own interests and friendships and to make their own choices
- Give help around the home as each person's plan sets out
- Deliver personal care as each plan sets out
- Finish reports and paperwork on time
- Keep the coordinator updated, respect confidentiality and keep the workplace safe for everyone
Requirements & Eligibility
- A First Aid Certificate and a Working with Children Check, both current
- A WA C-class driver's licence that is current
- Understanding of the needs of people with physical and intellectual disabilities, and a positive attitude towards them
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team
- Organised, prioritising workloads so deadlines are met
- Experience of working with people with disability desirable
