A busy Melbourne salon is after a senior stylist who is just as strong with people as with a pair of scissors. The position is full time and covers cutting, colouring and styling, built on a proper consultation and a finish that always looks polished. You would work next to experienced professionals in an established and expanding salon. Extension skills are a pleasant extra, though top-level hairdressing is what matters most.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver cuts, colours, styling and other salon services at a steady professional level
- Run in-depth consultations to understand each client's hair, then suggest suitable care, styling and maintenance products
- Earn client loyalty through warm, high-quality service so people come back
- Provide hair extension services where you hold the qualifications or experience
- Keep your station clean, tidy and hygienic, following salon procedures and health and safety requirements
- Look professional and greet every client with a smile, collaborating with fellow stylists and salon staff to keep the mood positive and productive
- Follow trends and techniques, and take part in training and skills development
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hairdressing qualification, or recognised industry training, that is relevant
- Experience as a Senior Hair Stylist or experienced professional hairdresser, with a salon history you can demonstrate
- Able to verify professional identity, qualifications and relevant employment experience, and willing to go through the required verification process
- Strong technical knowledge of modern hairdressing techniques
- Confident with consultations and people skills
- Pays close attention to detail, and is strongly committed to quality and customer satisfaction
- Passionate about hairdressing and keen to keep developing skills, with a professional, reliable and motivated approach
- Works independently as well as within a team
- Knows salon hygiene, safety and professional standards
- Hair extension experience is highly regarded
