A unisex salon in Tauranga's centre, run to a professional standard, is growing and wants creative, seasoned Hairdressers and Barbers. Expect to deliver quality hair care, styling and men's grooming in a modern, air-conditioned space, leaving clients satisfied and sticking to health and hygiene standards.
As an accredited employer, the salon can sponsor a suitable candidate for visa support if required.

Key Responsibilities
- Chat with clients about the cut, colour and style they want, men's grooming and beard-shaping included
- Trim, taper, shape and style hair with scissors, clippers, razors and other professional tools
- Offer men's grooming: beard and moustache trims, wet shaves and hot towel treatments
- Wash, condition and treat hair and scalp; guide clients on suitable products, aftercare and keeping their style fresh
- Colour, tint, highlight and bleach hair, remove colour, and apply chemical treatments for straightening, relaxing or perming
- Finish styles with blow dryers, straighteners, curling irons and styling products
- Sanitise and tidy tools, equipment and work areas to meet salon hygiene and health and safety standards
- Take bookings, organise schedules and process payments as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- A minimum of two (2) years' full-time experience as a Hairdresser or Barber
- Demonstrated technical ability in haircutting, colouring, styling and men's grooming
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a real customer service focus, and efficient, cooperative teamwork
- Sound knowledge of salon hygiene and safety practices
