A recruitment exercise covers 100 permanent full-time Registered Nurse positions with private hospitals and aged care organisations in regional Australia, listed in Sydney. The work includes responsibility for residents' daily care and support for the wider care team.
Employers are open to visa type 482 sponsorship, with conditions applying. Applicants need minimum 3 months as a Registered Nurse in Australia or minimum 2 years overseas; Australian work experience is preferred.
Your English CV should identify AHPRA status and distinguish your Australian and overseas nursing experience. prepare a nursing CV showing assessment and care leadership with clear examples of resident care, medication management and multidisciplinary work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage residents' daily care, support colleagues and provide comprehensive, accurate nursing assessments.
- Practise in ways that protect dignity and integrity and encourage residents' independence.
- Take overall responsibility for medication management.
- Plan, implement and evaluate care with doctors, allied health professionals and families.
- Coordinate and supervise care workers, enrolled nurses and other healthcare professionals.
- Keep family members informed about care and treatment.
- Take responsibility for residents' nursing care and deliver treatments and interventions.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and Qualified Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Minimum 3 months' work experience as a Registered Nurse in Australia or minimum 2 years' work experience overseas; Australian work experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, able to delegate and prioritise workload.
- Excellent clinical problem-solving and communication skills, able to contribute to a multidisciplinary team.
- A background providing clinical patient-centred care.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards and aged care legislative framework, including safe medication administration.
