Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care grounded in evidence, following each resident's care plan and involving the resident and the wider care team
- Direct and supervise graduate Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and Personal Care Workers, setting the standard so the team delivers the best possible care
- Stay in touch with clinical colleagues, residents, families, allied health professionals, GPs and outside organisations
- Oversee staff performance through regular reviews and development support
- Check residents' health, track vital signs and manage medications and treatments
- Write and put into action an individual care plan that suits each resident
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- First Aid and CPR certificates that are current
- Keeps professional and ethical practice current in aged care and infection control, as legal and AHPRA requirements and the Nurses Code of Conduct demand
- Aged care experience, plus a willingness to complete ongoing mandatory training
