Combine clinical nursing with shift leadership at a residential aged care home in Coffs Harbour. The permanent full-time position reports to the Care Manager and covers morning, afternoon and night shifts. You will coach and supervise personal care staff while building relationships with residents and families.
Initial 482 sponsorship is available, with pathways to permanent residency for eligible applicants.
Your English CV should show AHPRA registration, clinical judgement in aged care and how you support care staff. present your relationship-centred nursing experience in a CV with clear examples of shift leadership and your understanding of AN-ACC assessments. Describe how you noticed changing resident needs and supported colleagues during a shift. That links clinical capability with the relationship-centred approach this position calls for.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical care to best-practice nursing standards and lead the shift through coaching, supervision and guidance for personal care staff.
- Build trust with residents and their families.
- Help create an inclusive, safe and positive environment for residents and colleagues.
- Use clinical judgement to recognise and respond to changes in residents' needs, following clinical, organisational and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration and Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent, with At least 2 years of nursing experience, ideally including aged care.
- Knowledge of aged care legislation and the Aged Care Quality Standards, and understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes.
- Strong clinical knowledge of ageing and age-related health conditions.
- Confident coaching, mentoring and supporting care staff, with strong communication, conflict-resolution and emotional-intelligence skills.
- A collaborative, positive approach and competent IT skills.
