Lead the main human resources functions for an operational workforce of over 160 people in Brisbane. This part-time position works with site employees and senior leaders on recruitment, engagement, workforce capability and compliance. The brief spans practical HR planning through to investigations and employee relations decisions.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement practical HR strategies and advise leaders on workforce requirements, capability and succession.
- Manage recruitment and talent acquisition and support engagement and retention.
- Handle performance management and employee relations, investigate grievances and workplace issues and coordinate disciplinary action.
- Maintain compliance with awards and employment legislation and update policies, procedures and HR documents.
- Prepare workforce reports and metrics, help review employment terms periodically and support injury management and return-to-work programmes.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven HR Manager or senior HR professional experience; relevant tertiary qualification preferred.
- Construction, mining, engineering, infrastructure or comparable operational sector background.
- Australian employment law, modern award and workplace relations knowledge, with employee relations and investigation experience.
- Strong recruitment and workforce planning, excellent analysis, negotiation and communication and comfort with senior leaders and operational employees.
- HRIS and payroll platform experience and ability to work independently in a hands-on environment.
- Sponsorship or migration experience is highly regarded.
