Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy commercial vehicles and diagnose mechanical, electrical and diesel faults.
- Repair systems, inspect trucks, trailers and components and use diagnostic equipment and mechanical tests.
- Attend breakdowns and corrective work across truck brands and customer fleets in workshop and field settings.
- Keep current, accurate repair and service records and follow health, safety and quality procedures.
- Care for tools, equipment and service vehicles and coordinate with technicians and supervisors.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Essential qualification: Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
- Practical Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic history and demonstrable servicing, repair and diagnosis.
- Genuine, verifiable heavy vehicle employment and evidence of qualifications and experience.
- Current Australian driver’s licence and Australian working rights appropriate to the role.
- Sharp mechanical problem-solving and safe quality workmanship, able to work independently and in a technical team and willing for workshop and field service.
