Maintain heavy transport vehicles for a growing Brisbane fleet. The qualified diesel mechanic works in a purpose-built workshop with modern trucks, combining preventative maintenance, major repairs and breakdown response. Accurate diagnosis and dependable repairs help keep the fleet safe and available.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and complete preventative maintenance across the fleet and diagnose mechanical faults for lasting repair solutions.
- Service and repair heavy multi-combination trucks and prime movers, including engines, transmissions, drivelines and major component work and rebuilds.
- Inspect equipment for developing failures and respond to breakdowns with on-the-spot troubleshooting as needed.
- Maintain safe, operationally fit equipment and current service records and documents.
- Use diagnostics and tools safely, coordinate efficiently with workshop and transport colleagues and follow environmental, health and safety procedures in a tidy workshop.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Recognised Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic trade qualification and proven Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic experience.
- Strong road transport and heavy vehicle maintenance including heavy multi-combination trucks; Volvo and/or Mack Titan prime mover experience highly regarded.
- Sharp diagnostic and mechanical fault-finding and experience with preventative programmes, major repairs and component rebuilds.
- Current C Class Australian driver's licence essential; HR licence highly regarded.
- Willing to work a structured local roster, with dependable, safe and detail-focused maintenance and good teamwork and communication.
