Two hands-on mechanic vacancies are open at a family-owned fleet maintenance specialist in Auckland, working in a modern workshop that puts safety first. Most jobs are on truck and trailer fleets, with buses and light commercial vehicles as well. The working week is a minimum of 40 hours, plus a rostered half-day on Saturdays.
The employer is an Accredited Employer that offers sponsorship through support with visa transfers.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle scheduled servicing of heavy and commercial vehicles
- Repair braking and steering systems
- Strip, rebuild and repair modern diesel engines, gearboxes and drivetrains
- Prepare vehicles for COF/VCA
- Find faults through diagnostics and do general mechanical work
- Keep the workplace clean and safe
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified Diesel Technician (Level 4 or equivalent), or a minimum of 3 years' experience in the automotive / heavy vehicle industry
- Minimum Class 2 clean driver's licence (willing to progress to Class 4/5)
- Can work on their own or in a team, with good written and verbal communication
- Strong commitment to safety
- A well-equipped toolbox of their own
- Happy to work a rostered half-day Saturday
