A family-run Western Australian coach and tourism operator needs skilled, motivated mechanics for heavy vehicles. In its Perth workshop you would keep a varied fleet of buses and coaches dependable, clean and roadworthy: servicing, modifications, fault diagnosis and repairs, plus occasional jobs at other WA locations.
Past work on buses or coaches is highly regarded, though not essential. Casual and full-time arrangements are both available, and hours and shifts are agreed at interview. It is open to applicants already in Australia with work rights, and employer sponsorship is available for suitably qualified applicants. Applications close on 21 November 2026.
A mechanic's CV should name your trade qualification, the heavy diesel vehicles you have worked on and your licences, such as a working at heights certificate or driver's licence class. Build a tidy English version online so it reads clearly.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and look after company vehicles, meeting company standards
- Find faults in, service and repair a range of heavy vehicles, including installing and mending mechanical components
- Keep fleet and repair paperwork aligned with manufacturer specifications and the WA omnibus vehicle maintenance program, and log service work online
- Help maintain onboard monitoring equipment, from wifi and GPS tracking to communications, CCTV and sensors
- Take care of general workshop upkeep and road test vehicles when needed
Requirements & Eligibility
- A heavy commercial vehicle mechanical trade qualification or similar, together with heavy diesel experience (buses and coaches preferred, not essential)
- Sharp diagnostic skills
- Awareness of WA transport compliance rules
- Australian working rights that are current
- A driver's licence that is current; HR class is highly regarded
- Hold a working at heights certificate and relevant high risk work licences, or be willing to obtain them
