This Cairns salon wants a hairdresser with solid chair time behind them, someone who can cut, style and colour with confidence, understand what a client is after and deliver dependable results with minimal supervision.
Work begins on flexible hours with scope to grow into full-time, inside a recognised salon network that supports ongoing learning. Eligible candidates may be considered for employer sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide cuts, styling and colour for a varied client base
- Find out what each client wants in style, colour and finish, then advise what will suit their hair
- Use current colouring techniques with close attention to detail
- Assess hair condition ahead of every service and advise accordingly
- Keep results consistent across all services
- Build long-term client relationships and keep customers happy
- Present professionally in appearance and manner, and join salon training alongside the team of experienced stylists
- Follow trends and techniques while keeping the salon clean, tidy and welcoming
Requirements & Eligibility
- A qualified hairdresser with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience
- Salon experience you can support with employment evidence, together with a steady employment record
- Strong practical skills in cutting, styling and modern colouring, and confidence leading client consultations
- A relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training
- Good communication and customer service, and a reliable, approachable manner
- Committed to quality work, ongoing training and professional development
- Able to commit to at least 5 months or longer, with flexible availability and potential to progress from part-time to full-time
